Aston Villa defender Jores Okore has rejected claims that he refused to be part of the squad for the team's 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth on April 9.
The relegated club's caretaker manager Eric Black claimed on Friday that Okore asked to be removed from the matchday squad against Bournemouth as he was only going to be named among the substitutes.
The Denmark international has since been ordered to train with the Under-21s, but he has now hit back on social media.
According to ESPN, Okore tweeted: "I refuse to play? I was on the bench against Chelsea and the games before, why didn't I refuse to play those games? There must be more to it than Mr. Eric Black is telling you!"
The 23-year-old joined Villa in a reported £4m deal in 2013, but his future at the Midlands outfit looks bleak after dropping out of the squad.
Villa were officially relegated to the Championship following a 1-0 defeat to Manchester United on April 16.
