Jores Okore 'devastated' by seriousness of injury

Aston Villa defender Jores Okore admits that he has found it difficult to come to terms with the seriousness of his recent knee injury.

Aston Villa defender Jores Okore has revealed his 'devastation' after learning that he would miss the rest of the season with a serious knee injury.

The 21-year-old, who arrived at Villa Park from Nordsjaelland this summer, ruptured his cruciate ligaments against Newcastle United earlier this month.

"I was really down and sad the first couple of days," Okore told the Birmingham Mail.

"At the beginning I just thought it was a minor injury and that I would be out for a couple of weeks. It was really a big blow when I was told about the serious injury."

Okore had previously been linked with Chelsea.
