Aston Villa have reportedly agreed a £14m fee with Marseille for Morgan Sanson.
The 26-year-old has made over 150 appearances for his current side since arriving from Montpellier in 2017, including 19 outings in all competitions during the 2020-21 campaign.
Sanson played in all six of Marseille's Champions League games in the group stages of this season's competition, while he has contributed two goals and three assists in Ligue 1 this term.
According to Sky Sports News, Villa have agreed a £14m fee for the midfielder, although the deal could eventually rise to £15.5m due to various add-ons.
The report claims that Sanson will arrive in Birmingham next week to undergo a medical, meaning that he could potentially make his debut for Dean Smith's side against Burnley on January 27.
The former France Under-21s international helped Marseille reach the 2017-18 Europa League final.
