Aston Villa to seal Carles Gil deal in the next 48 hours?

Aston Villa could wrap up a deal for Valencia youngster Carles Gil in the next 48 hours, according to a report in the press.

Aston Villa could complete a deal to bring in Valencia midfielder Carles Gil in the next 48 hours, according to a report in the press.

Speculation has suggested that Paul Lambert had sought to make a move for the 22-year-old, with The Telegraph now stating that the purchase could be completed within the next two days.

The same report has indicated that the creative player could agree a five-year deal and will fly to England for a medical at Villa on Monday.

Despite being part of the Valencia setup, Gil has been learning his craft while out on loan at La Liga side Elche for the past two seasons.
