Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani has not yet ruled out the possibility of joining Atletico Madrid, according to a report.
Cavani was on the brink of joining Los Rojiblancos during the January transfer window, only for Atletico to pull out of the deal at the 11th hour after the Uruguayan's agent allegedly doubled the fee when an agreement was already in place.
The 33-year-old's contract at Parc des Princes expires at the end of this season, and UOL Sport reports that he still regards joining Atletico as his preferred choice.
Diego Simeone is thought to see Cavani as an ideal addition to his strikeforce, providing similar attributes to current forward Diego Costa.
However, there is also thought to be interest from former club Napoli, as well as Boca Juniors, Inter Miami and a number of Brazilian clubs.
Cavani has scored a club-record 200 goals for PSG, but he has fallen down the pecking order in the French capital and has managed just four Ligue 1 strikes this season.
