Antoine Griezmann plays down Atletico Madrid exit talk

Antoine Griezmann says that he wants to add to impressive goal tally for Atletico Madrid next season.

Antoine Griezmann has said that he is looking forward to playing for Atletico Madrid next season, despite reports linking him with an exit from the club.

The Frenchman enjoyed an impressive debut campaign for the Rojiblancos following his move from Real Sociedad, scoring 25 goals in all competitions.

His performances have seen him linked with a number of Europe's biggest clubs, but he has said that he is not looking to leave this summer.

"I want to thank the fans for all their support," he is quoted as saying by the Daily Star. "I wanted to do my best and I did the best I could.

"We will give everything to have a good pre-season and be prepared for big matches and the Champions League.

"I want to score as many goals as I did this season, or more, next season."

Only Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi scored more goals in La Liga than Griezmann this season.
