Report: Atletico Madrid want Fernando Torres return

A report claims that Atletico Madrid want to re-sign Chelsea's Fernando Torres.

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is reportedly interested in bringing Chelsea's Fernando Torres back to the Spanish club at the end of the season.

The Spanish international scored 82 league goals between 2001 and 2007 for Atletico, whom he also captained when he was still just a teenager.

Despite impressing at Liverpool, Torres's career has stalled in recent seasons with Chelsea.

According to The Sun, Chelsea are prepared to offload the 29-year-old in the summer and Atletico are interested in a reunion.

Atletico's Diego Costa, who has scored 30 goals in all competitions this season, has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea, who could reportedly propose a swap deal.
