Victor Valdes joins Marc Bartra tributes

Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes believes that Marc Bartra "will be a centre-back at Barcelona for many years to come".

Spanish goalkeeper Victor Valdes has become the latest Barcelona player to praise the contribution of centre-back Marc Bartra over the last few weeks.

Bartra, who has enjoyed a recent run in the Barcelona team due to the absence of Javier Mascherano, impressed in the 1-0 win over Celtic in the Champions League on Tuesday.

"He played a great game, he pressed the opponents very well and also contributed in attack," Valdes told reporters at a press conference.

"He will be a centre-back at Barcelona for many years to come."

Xavi has also recently praised the Spanish defender.
