Gerard Pique 'to retire at Barcelona'

Spanish international centre-back Gerard Pique reveals that he wants to "retire" at current club Barcelona.

Gerard Pique has revealed that he wants to "retire" at Barcelona as he 'cannot see himself at another club'.

The Spanish international started his career at Barcelona, but did spend four years with Manchester United after leaving to join the English club's academy in 2004.

The 29-year-old returned to Camp Nou in 2008, however, and has won six La Liga titles and three Champions League crowns with the Catalan giants.

The centre-back has previously been linked with a return to the Premier League, but Pique has insisted that he would rather 'hang up his boots' than play for another club.

"I can't see myself in another side. When I'm not of use here I'm going to hang up my boots, I'm going to leave, but Barca has been my life and I want to retire here," Pique told Onda Cero.

The experienced defender is currently with the Spain squad ahead of Euro 2016.
