Gerardo Martino: 'I never dreamed of such a good start'

New Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino says he did not imagine his first La Liga match would go so well following their 7-0 win over Levante.

Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino has admitted that his side's 7-0 win over Levante was better than anything he could have expected.

Martino began life at Camp Nou with a hammering of the Valencia-based outfit and later said that the result was something that he never thought would be possible.

"This start to the season is better than anything I could have imagined," Espcore quotes Martino as saying.

"Now we have to maintain this level. We need to give him time to adapt bit by bit. If we go too fast, we'll harm the player and the team"

Martino took over at Barca earlier this summer after Tito Vilanova stepped down on health grounds.
