How Barcelona could line up against Real Valladolid

Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up in Tuesday night's clash with Real Valladolid.

Barcelona will be looking to record their seventh straight victory in all competitions when they welcome Real Valladolid to Camp Nou on Tuesday night.

The postponement of El Clasico means that Barca have not actually been in action since they recorded a 2-1 victory at Sparta Prague in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Ernesto Valverde's side have also won their last four in La Liga against Villarreal, Getafe, Sevilla and Eibar.

The Spanish champions have been knocked off top spot by Granada, though, and will therefore enter Tuesday's clash in second position in the table.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Barca could line up on their return to action.

POSS BAR XI vs. VAL

Out: Samuel Umtiti (knee)
Doubtful: Sergi Roberto (knee)

Sergi Roberto was back training with the main group on Sunday after recovering from a knee problem, although it remains to be seen whether the Spaniard is thrown straight back into action this week.

Samuel Umtiti was not able to train at the weekend as he battles a knee injury of his own, though, and the France international will therefore be missing for the champions once again.

Valverde has no other injury or suspension concerns, though, and there are not expected to be many surprises in the starting XI on Tuesday night.

Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Antoine Griezmann are almost certain to start as the front three with Ousmane Dembele being named on the bench, while Frenkie de Jong, Sergio Busquets and Arthur are expected to continue as the midfield three in a 4-3-3 formation.

As a result, the only change from the 3-0 win over Eibar on October 19 could arrive at right-back with Nelson Semedo coming in for Roberto, who could make the bench but is unlikely to start.

Valverde has plenty of midfield options at the moment, meaning that the likes of Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal - both linked with moves away in recent weeks - are set to be frustrated once again on Tuesday night.
