Ajax could reportedly attempt to bring Barcelona striker Luis Suarez back to the Eredivisie during the summer transfer window.
In the wake of Barcelona's crushing Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich, the futures of several Blaugrana stars have been called into question amid reports that the Catalan giants have placed all but four players on the transfer list.
While speculation surrounding a move for Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez has cooled in recent weeks, Suarez has been tipped to move on regardless, with the 33-year-old's contract at Camp Nou set to expire next summer.
According to Foot Mercato, Ajax are firmly interested in striking a deal for their former player, who scored 111 goals in 159 games for the Dutch outfit between 2007 and 2011.
However, the report also claims that Suarez's next career move is still shrouded in uncertainty, but there is expected to be a mass clearout at Barcelona following their woeful end to the 2019-20 campaign.
Despite struggling with injury for a large chunk of the most recent season, Suarez nevertheless managed to chalk up 21 goals and 12 assists for Barcelona across all competitions.
