Barcelona have announced that forward Paco Alcacer has signed a season-long loan deal with Borussia Dortmund.
Alcacer has been deemed surplus to requirements by boss Ernesto Valverde since the start of the summer, despite the 24-year-old having netted 10 league goals from 14 starts and 23 substitute appearances.
Clubs in the Premier League and La Liga have been linked with a move for the Spaniard, but Barcelona have now revealed that Borussia Dortmund have won the race for the forward's signature.
The Catalan giants have revealed that Dortmund have paid €2m (£1.82m) to sign Alcacer until the end of the campaign, and the Bundesliga side also have the option to sign the player for €28m (£25.46m), which includes €5m in add-ons.
However, Barcelona retain the right to turn down the bid should they wish to keep Alcacer, who has a contract at Camp Nou until 2021.
