Barcelona have finally activated the release clause in Antoine Griezmann's Atletico Madrid contract, according to a report.
The French striker revealed at the end of last season that he intended to leave Atleti this summer, with Barca the strong favourites to sign him.
Two months on from his announcement, however, Griezmann remains an Atletico player and he has been ordered by last season's La Liga runners-up to report for pre-season training.
Griezmann signed a new long-term deal with Los Rojiblancos last year that contained a £171m release clause, but that has since dropped to £107m and L'Equipe reports that Barca have made their move.
A five-year deal is rumoured to have already been agreed with the 28-year-old and he could be presented as a Barcelona player at the start of next week.
