Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen defender Wendell when the January transfer window opens.
The Catalan outfit are expected to flex their financial muscle in the winter window, when their current transfer ban comes to an end.
According to Hamburger Morgenpost, Wendell has emerged as a leading target for the Spanish side, who want more defensive cover at left-back for Jordi Alba.
It is understood that Barcelona have been monitoring the 22-year-old for some time, but had a closer look during Tuesday's Champions League clash between the two teams at Camp Nou.
Wendell, who has four Brazil Under-21 caps to his name, joined Bayer from Londrina in 2014.
