David Alaba rules out Bayern Munich departure

David Alaba insists that he has no intention of leaving Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.

David Alaba has insisted that he has no interest in leaving Bayern Munich this summer.

The Austrian international, who can play in midfield and defence, has previously been linked with Real Madrid, but Alaba is certain that he will stay at Bayern after finishing the season on the sidelines due to a knee injury.

"That's not an issue. I am under contract at Bayern until 2018. The last year with the two injuries wasn't that nice. I now want to attack again," the 22-year-old told Kurier.

"Deep inside me, there are certainly clubs I might imagine playing for one day, but I'm not worrying myself with such things.

"Even after seven years at Munich, I still feel great there and want to achieve a lot of things with Bayern."

Alaba joined Bayern from Austria Vienna as a 16-year-old in 2008.
