Real Betis striker Ruben Castro is expected to miss the next six weeks of the season after learning that he will require hamstring surgery.
The Spaniard has made just two appearances for the Spanish outfit this season after struggling with a number of injuries during pre-season.
Castro previously underwent treatment after suffering with sciatica, but his club have now confirmed that a problem in the forward's hamstring has been identified.
The surgery, which will keep the 32-year-old out of action for at least six weeks, is due to take place on Thursday.
