Birmingham City manager Lee Clark reveals that he does not the whereabouts of Papa Bouba Diop after the midfielder appeared close to signing a contract at St Andrews.

Birmingham City manager Lee Clark has admitted that Papa Bouba Diop might not sign for the club in time to make his debut against Leicester City on Saturday.

It was revealed last week that Diop was close to signing a short-term deal at St Andrews, but manager Lee Clark has revealed that he is unsure of the whereabouts of the Senegalese midfielder.

Clark told BBC WM: "He left last Thursday to go to Paris to sort out the paperwork and we've not seen him since.

"The best-case scenario for us now is Bouba being on the bench on Saturday, if that happens at all."

Diop has not played a competitive match since March, when he featured for West Ham United.
