Eddie Howe to address Lewis Grabban future

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe reveals that he will soon hold talks with on-loan forward Lewis Grabban.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has revealed that he will soon hold talks with on-loan forward Lewis Grabban.

Grabban has only scored once for Bournemouth since returning to the club in 2016, and is currently on loan at Sunderland, where he has netted 11 Championship goals in 16 appearances this season.

The Cherries are said to be considering recalling the 29-year-old in January, and Howe has confirmed that talks surrounding the striker's future will soon be held.

"We will sit down with Grabbs and make the right call for him, for us and for everybody, to see what the next step is. The recall was put in for a number of reasons but there is no doubting his quality," Howe told the Bournemouth Echo.

"He scored goals in the Championship before and it is good to see him do it on a regular basis. I have a long history with him, he was one of the guys back in the League One days who did so well for us and then made the jump to the Championship.

"Of course, we brought him back to the football club in the Premier League. I am really pleased he is showing his true quality and we will wait and see."

Grabban managed just one goal in six appearances for Bournemouth last season.
