Burnley manager Sean Dyche has hailed his players for holding off a late fightback to secure a 3-2 win over Bournemouth at Turf Moor this afternoon.
The result ended a run of three straight defeats and helped the Clarets up to 13th in the table, five points clear of the relegation zone.
"I am very pleased," Dyche told BBC Sport afterwards. "We are still learning as a side and we can definitely play better but the mentality was brilliant from my players.
"Bournemouth are a great side - Eddie Howe is doing a fantastic job and we knew they would come here feeling confident with their shoulders back after a strong performance against Liverpool but we had a bright start and threatened their back line which I think we did brilliantly.
"It's hard to kill teams off in the Premier League. The challenge is evident but there is clarity to the thoughts of the players and we will take that into the next matches. All we can do is work hard with the aim to get a result."
Next up for Burnley is a trip to struggling West Ham United at the London Stadium on Wednesday night.
