Cardiff City appear on course to maintain their 100% home record after entering the break with a 2-0 lead over potential promotion rivals Blackpool.
Both sides have started the season promisingly and are being tipped to challenge for the promotion places in the Championship.
However, Cardiff were the only side displaying possible Premier League credentials as they dominated Ian Holloway's Tangerines during the opening 45 minutes.
Craig Bellamy and Mark Hudson both tested Blackpool stopper Matt Gilks with early strikes, before an unmarked Matthew Connolly headed in Bellamy's cross to put Cardiff ahead.
Prolific midfielder Peter Whittingham doubled the hosts' advantage 10 minutes later when he struck low into the bottom corner after his initial free kick had only been partially cleared.
