Cardiff City manager Russell Slade has insisted that club owner Vincent Tan is still dedicated to the Bluebirds and is willing to provide transfer funds in January.
Tan has not been at the Cardiff City Stadium to watch the side play since January, but after discussions this week Slade is certain that the Malaysian billionaire is still committed.
"The owner is still dedicated to the club and what we are trying to do. Absolutely. That's definite," Slade told reporters. "I had a good conversation two days ago. We had a chit-chat. He's watching every game."
Asked if Tan will back him with the necessary transfer funds in January, Slade replied: "Certainly we will be looking at it definitely."
"The owner is very keen for us to be successful and to strengthen if we need to in January. He's aware of the injuries and aware we are working hard and trying to stay in there. We'll look at it in the January window.
"We will review the situation, we are always looking. Always looking to improve in areas where we think it is needed. That never stops. January is a chance to do something about it, but the research never stops. It's crazy really."
Cardiff are next in Championship action this afternoon away to Ipswich Town.
