Fernando Torres: 'Chelsea will get better and better'

Chelsea striker Fernando Torres believes that the Blues will get better throughout the season as they continue to adapt to Jose Mourinho's management style.

Fernando Torres has insisted that the best is yet come from Chelsea after the Blues beat Schalke 04 3-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The Spanish striker netted a brace as Jose Mourinho's side recorded a victory that sends them to the top of Group E, with three games of the pool stage remaining.

However, Torres believes that it will still take Chelsea some time to fully adapt to the tactics implemented by their Portuguese manager, so feels that they will continue to improve throughout the season.

He told reporters: "We were lucky to score the first goal early so we could play the way we wanted, but they had their chances. In the second half, individual quality made the difference and we could have scored more goals

"We've got six points away from home which is good for us. Now we have to play Schalke again at home so we're in a good position

"It's a young squad with a new style and a new manager, so it takes time to settle. But we're still improving and will do until the end of the season."

The double in Gelsenkirchen were Torres's third and fourth goals of the season.
