Chelsea defender David Luiz insists that he is only focused on winning and feels that there will be no sentiment in his side's clash with Benfica in the Europa League final.

Chelsea defender David Luiz has admitted that there will be no sentiment in the Europa League final as he is determined to beat his former club Benfica.

The 26-year-old joined the Blues in 2011 from the Portuguese side and was an integral part of the club's success in winning the Champions League and the FA Cup last season.

Luiz told The Sun: "I have a lot of affection for Benfica. I had a great time there and it was the club which helped launch my career.

"I learned to love the club, to try and return the fans' affection. If football was just about passion, I would never have left Benfica.

"But I came to Chelsea for the challenge and things have gone very well. I've won the Champions League and the FA Cup and, hopefully, will add more to that. So in the final there will be no friends, I want to win it."

Chelsea face Benfica in the Europa League final on Wednesday in Amsterdam.
