John Terry 'could play against Liverpool following concerns over ankle injury'

Chelsea captain John Terry could feature against Liverpool on Friday following reports that his ankle injury is not serious.

Chelsea captain John Terry could reportedly play against Liverpool on Friday, despite suffering an ankle injury at the weekend.

The 35-year-old left the Liberty Stadium on crutches after rolling his ankle in Sunday's 2-2 draw with Swansea City.

Today, the centre-back underwent a scan to learn the extent of the damage, and according to talkSPORT, there are no concerns of a serious problem.

It is believed that Terry has only suffered bad bruising, which suggests that he could be in the team for this week's encounter against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.
