England goalkeeper Joe Hart has praised the contribution that John Terry made during his nine-year international career.
Chelsea captain Terry called time on his stint with England last month following a dispute with the Football Association regarding his recent racism case with Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand.
When asked by reporters how he will remember Terry's impact on the national team, Hart replied: "As an inspiration, a very passionate and proud Englishman. That would be the best way to sum up John as a player.
"He was someone who, when I first came into the England squad, treated me just the same as he does now. A great professional, a real inspiration football-wise and a good person as well."
Terry had 78 outings in an England shirt.
