Eveton manager Roberto Martinez has said that Romelu Lukaku's loan spell with the club was a "real success".
The Chelsea forward scored 15 goals in 31 appearances to help the Toffees finish fifth in the Premier League this season.
Martinez believes that both clubs should be pleased with Lukaku's performances during the campaign.
"In any loan deal you do, all you want is for it to be a real success," FourFourTwo quotes him as saying.
"I'm really pleased to say now that Romelu Lukaku has been a real success. I've seen him grow as a player, as a man and as a footballer and I think he has developed unique memories with Everton.
"Chelsea will be delighted with the progress of the player and we have benefited from having a player like Rom."
Lukaku scored the second goal as Everton beat Hull City 2-0 on the final day of the season.
