Jose Mourinho: 'We were fantastic from first minute to last'

Following Chelsea's 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace in the Premier League, Jose Mourinho says that his side 'controlled the game from minute one'.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has said that his side were "fantastic" in their 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace this afternoon.

The Premier League leaders got off to the perfect start when Oscar handed them a sixth-minute lead with a free kick, before Cesc Fabregas made it 2-0 shortly after the break.

Although Fraizer Campbell netted a late goal for the hosts in a match which finished 10-a-side, Chelsea held on to secure all three points and Mourinho has said that his side 'controlled' the game from start to finish.

"My team had a fantastic performance," Mourinho told BBC Sport. "From minute one we did what we wanted to do, have the ball, use the ball and control the game.

"After that comes the red cards and 10 against 10 with the qualities we have was even easier for us."

The 51-year-old reserved particular praise for Chelsea's second goal, which Fabregas netted after a series of intricate passes involving Oscar and Eden Hazard.

"The second goal was a scandal. It is unbelievably good! Against Burnley we scored a goal which I thought would be our goal of the season, but this is just as good."

The win has restored Chelsea's five-point lead at the top of the league table.
