Oscar says that he is versatile and will play in whatever position Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo places him.

Newly-signed Chelsea playmaker Oscar has said that he is versatile and will play in whatever position manager Roberto Di Matteo places him.

The 20-year-old completed his transfer from Internacional on Wednesday and arrives in the Premier League as one of the more promising young players in world football.

Oscar is ready to establish himself at Stamford Bridge but insists that he is not rigid when it comes to his playing position.

"I'm going to meet and talk with the manager straight after the Olympics," the Brazilian is quoted as saying by The Independent.

"I will be ready to do whatever the manager wants me to do. At Internacional I played in several different positions so I have no problem adapting and will play wherever I am needed."

Oscar is pleased to have joined last season's Champions League winners, saying that it is "dream" come true for him to play for the Premier League club.

"I'm very happy about my move to Chelsea," enthused the 20-year-old. "It is a big club and this move is a dream for me. They won the Champions League and I am going to Chelsea to win more titles in my career."

"I chose Chelsea because their project is very good, especially with younger players, and their proposal [offer] was very good. I didn't have to think twice about accepting the offer.

"I have good friends at Chelsea in David Luiz and Ramires and I'm sure they will help me to settle in at the start and integrate. But Chelsea is a club that is more about the team than the individual and I am looking forward to the new season."

Oscar is currently on international duty for Brazil at the London Olympics.
