Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is confident that the club's latest signing Oscar will prove to be a success in the Premier League.
The Blues announced the acquisition of the 20-year-old midfielder from Brazilian club Internacional on Wednesday following a lengthy transfer negotiation.
Oscar is rated as one of the more promising young players in world football and will represent Brazil at the London Olympics, and Lampard believes that the youngster is a valuable addition to the Chelsea squad.
"To be honest, I don't know too much about Oscar," said the 34-year-old following Chelsea's defeat to the MLS All-Stars in a pre-season friendly.
"All of the reports that I'm hearing is that he's very good, that he's a fantastic talent.
"Our Brazilian players think he's a great talent. It's a great signing for Chelsea, now and for the future. I hope that he can come and adapt to the English game very fast."
Oscar is Chelsea's fourth signing of the summer following the arrival of Marko Marin and brothers Eden and Thorgan Hazard at Stamford Bridge.
