Jose Mourinho reportedly places Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko at the top of his transfer wishlist following his return to Chelsea.

New Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly placed Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko at the top of his transfer wishlist.

The 27-year-old, who has been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium this summer, is believed to be favoured by Mourinho ahead of the Blues' current strikers Fernando Torres and Demba Ba.

While City are against selling to their Premier League rivals, it is understood that Chelsea will step aside in their battle with the North-West club over Napoli's Edinson Cavani to pave a way through for Dzeko, according to the Daily Star.

The Bosnian joined the former English champions in January 2011 for £27m from German outfit Wolfsburg.
