Chelsea are hopeful that they can sign Sao Paulo midfielder Lucas Moura before the end of the January transfer window, according to The Sun.
Moura, 19, has scored 18 goals in 70 appearances for the Brazilian club and has also been capped ten times by his country Brazil.
Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas is understood to be keen to bring in another playmaker as he attempts to reignite the club's season.
Chelsea are confident that an agreement can be reached, but they can expect to pay upwards of £25m for a player who has a release clause of £66.8m.
