Chelsea have reportedly been left uncertain as to whether to push through a permanent deal for Gonzalo Higuain.
Juventus have allowed the forward to spend the next 18 months at Stamford Bridge, but the Argentine has only contributed three goals from 10 outings in all competitions.
Chelsea had seemingly been prepared to complete the acquisition of the 31-year-old, but according to Tuttosport, the Blues may instead look for an alternative option.
The report suggests that Chelsea's two-window transfer ban could prove to be an issue, while the West Londoners may have reservations over committing a large fee on a player who will turn 32 before the end of the 2019.
However, Juventus allegedly remain confident that they will still be able to find a new club for Higuain should he return to Turin.
