Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has managed to get a deal over the line for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, according to a report.
The Blues are desperately on the lookout for a new forward option ahead of the 2017-18 campaign, having told last season's leading goalscorer Diego Costa that he is now surplus to requirements.
After missing out on rumoured top target Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United, Chelsea have been exploring moves for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Andrea Belotti, Sergio Aguero and Madrid ace Morata.
Sky Sports News claims that Conte's search for a new striker is now over, as the Spain international is to make a switch to Stamford Bridge in the coming days.
It is suggested that an agreement was reached on Wednesday afternoon, meaning that Morata could be a Chelsea player before the week is over.
The 24-year-old has been left in limbo in recent weeks after seeing a move to Manchester United break down, with the Red Devils baulking at his asking price - initially rumoured to be over the £70m mark - and instead turning to Lukaku.
