Roma have emerged as the leading contenders to land Chelsea's wantaway defender Gary Cahill this month.
The 30-year-old is reportedly keen to leave Stamford Bridge after falling out of Guus Hiddink's starting XI in recent weeks, despite signing a new four-year contract just two months ago.
According to the Evening Standard, the Serie A side are keen to make a deal happen before the Italian window closes at 10pm on Monday and have cash to spend following the £11.5m sale of Gervinho to Chinese side Hebei China Fortune.
The newspaper says that the Blues will only consider a sale if they receive "a massive offer", while Cahill's salary of £100,000 a week could prove too high for the Italians.
Roma are currently fifth in Serie A, 12 points off leaders Napoli.
