Crawley Town manager Richie Barker has blamed his side for a display of poor defending which led to a penalty being given against them as they lost 1-0 to Brentford in League One this afternoon.
Town's Kyle McFadzean fouled Kadeem Harris in the box in the opening exchanges, allowing Adam Forshaw to step up and score the game's only goal.
"I felt we deserved something out of the game. We maybe didn't do enough to win it but without a poor piece of defending we would have come out with a 0-0," Barker told reporters.
"From what I could see and how poor the defending was it was a penalty. Nine times out of ten we wouldn't have given that away but one or two people need to look at themselves."
Crawley find themselves in 13th position in League One following the defeat.
