Crewe Alexandra captain Matt Tootle believes that discussions at a recent team meeting will help the club move off the bottom of the League One table.
The Cheshire-based club have failed to earn a point in their opening five league fixtures, but Tootle has insisted that their lack of form hasn't had a detrimental effect on the dressing room.
The 23-year-old is quoted by BBC Radio Stoke as saying: "It might seem strange to say it but we have a really good dressing room right now. One of the tightest that we've had for a few years.
"You can call all the meetings you want and it doesn't always make a difference, but this one was good. We spoke about how to get ourselves going again. All I can put it down to is lack of confidence."
Crewe's next fixture sees them host Port Vale on Saturday.
