Modibo Maiga scored twice as West Ham United registered a 3-0 victory from their trip to German side Eintracht Braunschweig.
After a fairly even start to the contest, the visiting Hammers broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute, albeit in fortunate circumstances.
Ermin Bicakcic's attempted clearance struck Maiga 30 yards from goal, and the ball proceeded to fly over home goalkeeper Daniel Davan and into the net.
Maiga was then heavily involved as West Ham scored two more goals in the final three minutes of the half.
Firstly he crossed with the outside of his right boot for Mohamed Diame, who flicked the ball in from close range, and he then claimed his second goal of the match when he rounded Devan to slot into an empty net.
Both managers made a host of changes during the second 45 minutes, which restricted the flow of the game. As a result, no further goals were scored as Sam Allardyce's side held out for a routine win.
