Prince William and Wayne Rooney have praised the England women's football team after they reached their first World Cup semi-final with victory over Canada.
The Duke of Cambridge, who is the current FA president, congratulated the team on Twitter.
He said: "As President of the FA I'm thrilled to see the England women progress to the semis for the first time.
"This team is making history and I can't wait to see them in action against Japan.
"The Lionesses are doing their country proud."
