FA confirms England will take on Spain in Alicante in November friendly

The Football Association confirms that England will face Spain in an international friendly this November as preparation for Euro 2016.

The Football Association has confirmed that England will face European champions Spain in an international friendly based in Alicante on November 13.

The fixture, which will take place at the Rico Perez Stadium, has been added to the Three Lions' preparations for Euro 2016, which is staged in France next summer.

Roy Hodgson's side will also welcome the French team to Wembley for a friendly, four days after they take on Spain.

England, whose last meeting with the Spanish side ended in a 1-0 defeat on home turf, have secured qualification to the Euro 2016 finals following Saturday's 6-0 victory over San Marino.
