Anaitz Arbilla 'very excited' to join Espanyol

Anaitz Arbilla reveals his delight after penning a four-year contract with Espanyol.

Spanish right-back Anaitz Arbilla has revealed his delight after penning a four-year contract with Espanyol.

The 27-year-old, who has joined the Barcelona-based outfit after leaving Rayo Vallecano on a free, has also praised the history of his new club.

"It's very exciting. Espanyol is a great club, historical in Spain and Europe, and it's clear that everyone wants to be at a club like this. The best is yet to come. I will work every day to offer the maximum to Espanyol," Inside Spanish Football quotes Arbilla as saying at his official unveiling.

Arbilla started his youth career with Athletic Bilbao, while he has also played for the likes of Salamanca and Hercules during a well-travelled career.
