Sporting Gijon scored three goals after the break to take maximum points from their trip to Espanyol this evening.
Their first goal of the match arrived three minutes after the restart when Adrian Colunga netted from close range.
Oscar Trejo made it two in the 70th minute when he converted a low through pass from Colunga.
Gijon made sure of the victory with 10 minutes remaining courtesy of Mate Bilic, who slotted the ball into the corner of the net from 12 yards out.
