Ross Barkley wary of Sunderland threat

Everton midfielder Ross Barkley feels that he and his teammates will have to be at their best to take all three points from their Premier League clash with Sunderland.

Everton midfielder Ross Barkley has warned his teammates that they will face a battle to take all three points from their Premier League clash against Sunderland.

The Toffees are unbeaten in five matches in all competitions heading into their game against the Black Cats, but the 20-year-old feels that his side will have to up their game to record a victory at the Stadium of Light.

Barkley told the club's official website: "They should have confidence because they've got good players in their team and they're a big club, but we've got to step up on the day to hopefully get the three points.

"It is always a tough game against them. I've been up there a few times. The crowd gets at you and they've got a good atmosphere, so it's always tough at the Stadium of Light."

Everton are 10th in the Premier League going into their clash against Sunderland.
