Roberto Martinez satisfied with Everton's draw at Crystal Palace

Everton manager Roberto Martinez says that he was satisfied with his side's goalless draw at Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has said that he was impressed with his team's performance in the 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace.

The Toffees have now won just one game in seven Premier League matches but after James McCarthy was dismissed during the second half at Selhurst Park, Martinez admits that he was satisfied to return to Merseyside with a point.

The 42-year-old told BBC Sport: "It was a more than decent result. The resilience and hard work, and to be able to be so solid, was great.

"We had as many chances. Joel Robles had to be at his best but it was a level game. To play like that with 10 men, it was incredibly satisfying."

Despite the draw, Everton have moved up two places into 12th position in the Premier League table.
