Steven Pressley vows to 'raise the bar' at Fleetwood Town

Fleetwood Town boss Steven Pressley says that he is feeling "comfortable" in his position a month after taking charge, but is keen to push on and lead the club to safety.

Steven Pressley has declared that he will not stand still in his pursuit of leading Fleetwood Town to League One safety.

The 42-year-old has won two of his five games since replacing former Scotland teammate Graham Alexander last month.

Having now settled into the job Pressley, who experienced much turmoil during his time in charge of ex-suitors Coventry City, admits that he is starting to enjoy life at Highbury.

"I've been very comfortable in my time here," he is quoted as saying by Fleetwood Weekly News. "It's very good, not just in terms of staff but with people who come in and help. There's the likes of Ted [Lowery], who comes in and makes the boys tea and helps out.

"That's the great thing about football clubs - they are people's lives. I get a great feeling about Fleetwood in that respect. There are things here I like to see.

"I've enjoyed the period so far but I know how much work there is to get us to where I want us to be. I'll never get ahead of myself. It's about continuously moving the club on, continuously raising the bar and continuously moving in the right direction."

Fleetwood are currently inside the bottom four, one point adrift of safety after 16 games.
