Greece's winless start to Euro 2016 qualifying has continued as they suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at home to the Faroe Islands.

Panagiotis Kone went close early on for the Greeks, but after connecting with Lazaros Christodoulopoulos's corner, he headed wide of the post.
Andreas Samaris fired over and Giannis Maniatis saw a long-range effort saved as the hosts dominated.
Greece continued to create the better of the chances and Nikolaos Karelis fired an effort wide from a tight angle.

The visitors almost broke the deadlock five minutes into the second half when Frodi Benjaminsen struck the post.
Just past the hour mark the Faroe Islands did manage to take the lead, as Joan Simun Edmundsson fired in from close range.
Charalampos Mavrias and Stefanos Athanasiadis headed over in quick succession as the Greeks looked for a way back into the game.
The hosts continued to push for a late equaliser, but they were unable to find the net as they fell to their third loss in qualifying.
