Saturday's Serie A predictions including Inter Milan vs. Hellas Verona

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Serie A fixtures, including Inter Milan vs. Hellas Verona.

Empoli vs. Spezia (Saturday, 2.00pm)

Separated by just one place and a single point in the Serie A standings, 14th-placed Empoli take on Spezia - who sit 15th - at Stadio Carlo Castellani on Saturday afternoon.

While the home side continued a long winless run with derby defeat last week, their visitors have improved markedly since the turn of the year to pull themselves clear of danger.

We say: Empoli 1-1 Spezia

Though both sides are effectively safe, they will each want to wrap up their season in style, but Empoli's inability to turn one point into three has left them increasingly desperate for any kind of victory.

It may not finally arrive on Saturday, though, as Spezia can take advantage of their troubles at the back - now exacerbated by injury and suspension - to secure a score draw at the Castellani.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Inter Milan vs. Hellas Verona (Saturday, 5.00pm)

Following their crucial Derby d'Italia triumph last weekend, Inter Milan aim to continue their defence of the Scudetto with another win over Hellas Verona on Saturday evening.

Having enjoyed historical dominance over the Veneto outfit, the Nerazzurri will be faced by one of Serie A's most improved sides, who consolidated their top-half place with Monday's win over Genoa.

We say: Inter Milan 2-1 Hellas Verona

This encounter will see the team that has recovered the most points from losing positions in Serie A this season - Inter, with 19 - face opponents who have lost the most when leading: Verona having spilled a total of 22.

So, even if the visitors are to take the lead on Saturday - which is unlikely in itself, given the champions have conceded just twice in seven games - they can expect to be under the cosh, in the first match with San Siro at full capacity for over two years.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Cagliari vs. Juventus (Saturday, 7.45pm)

Following the latest hammer blow to their ambitions last weekend, Juventus look to bounce back and consolidate their top four spot with a win at Cagliari on Saturday.

The Bianconeri travel to Sardinia after Derby d'Italia defeat to Inter effectively ended their Scudetto hopes for another year, while their hosts have lost four successive Serie A matches to slip into acute danger near the foot of the standings.

We say: Cagliari 0-2 Juventus

The combination of excellent away form and historical subordination of their opponents sees Juve start as favourites to prevail, and as they may feel there is a point to prove after last week, motivation will not be in short supply either.

Shipping five goals in Udine demonstrates how brittle Cagliari can be defensively, so the visitors can dominate midfield and leave the rest to Vlahovic and company up front.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.
