Juventus legend Alessandro del Piero has backed Paulo Dybala to have a big say in the Italian club's upcoming Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid.

Juventus will welcome the European champions to Turin on Tuesday night for the first leg of their last-eight affair, before travelling to the Bernabeu next week.

Dybala has scored 21 goals in 36 appearances during a strong 2017-18 campaign, and Del Piero has said that the 24-year-old is now ready to make a serious impression on the European stage.

"Every year he's moving up a level," Del Piero told Goal.com. "He showed a lot in these two games [against Lazio and Spurs]. He's a very good guy and an incredible talent. We don't need to mention his quality. What I saw every year is that he's growing. Maybe this year is the year for him."

Dybala has managed just one Champions League goal in seven European appearances for Juventus this term.
