A representative for LA Galaxy has claimed that reports suggesting David Beckham has signed a new deal at the club are premature.
Paris Saint-Germain confirmed on Tuesday that Beckham would not be joining them, but the former England captain is yet to finalise a deal with MLS champions Galaxy either.
Tim Leiweke, chief executive of LA Galaxy's parent company AEG, confirmed that talks were ongoing with the midfielder, telling the Los Angeles Times: "The stories were all over the front page of every newspaper in Europe that he was going to Paris, I told everyone I would not pay a lot of attention to that.
"And now that the stories are that he is going to the Galaxy, I would repeat the same advice: Premature."
Beckham's contract expired in December but he is rumoured to be keen to stay in LA as his children and wife are settled in the area.
