Report: Nigel Pearson not in running for Leicester City return

Former Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson is not believed to be a contender for a managerial return to the King Power Stadium.

Former Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson is not being considered for a return to the King Power Stadium, according to a report.

The Foxes parted ways with Craig Shakespeare on Tuesday, just four months after the 53-year-old took the job on a permanent basis.

Pearson is currently employed by Belgian club OH Leuven, which is owned by the King Power International Group - the same entity that owns Leicester.

Despite rumours suggesting that Pearson is to be transferred back to the East Midlands, Sky Sports News believes that the 54-year-old is not currently in the running to return for a third time.

Pearson has managed Leicester twice before, between 2008 and 2010, and again between 2011 and 2015.
